Pocket Change Challenge

This month, we’re taking it back to the basics with an old school challenge that everyone can easily join: donate your spare change!

You might be thinking that you don’t actually have that much spare change... We don’t either. We rarely spend cash, so it just doesn’t happen that often.

It’s a simple challenge, tho - and an easy one to implement. You can pay with cash and quite literally keep the change when you buy stuff, and donate the total to us at the end of April.

Most of us pay with cards, though, so if you want to avoid doing math, register at coinupapp.com and choose Shaw Pit Bull Rescue as your charity!!  They will automatically send us a donation each month - and you can even set a cap amount so they won't go over a certain amount!!

**COMING SOON - Waiting on account finalization**

Obviously, you don’t have to use this app to take the challenge. It makes it easier, but the idea is to simply save your spare change, then use it to donate to Shaw PBR at the end of the month.

One option for this challenge is to cut out your vices until April. Then, figure out what you would have spent on your vice during that time, and donate that money to Shaw PBR, instead. Just this one step can be eye opening.

Another option is to “tax” yourself for your vices. Let’s say yours is getting a latte every day. So when you swing by Starbucks, buy your latte as usual. But then immediately transfer an extra $1 to the Shaw PBR Donation account. Suddenly, your vices are costing more than they had before. And Shaw PBR is getting more donations, to boot.

Are you in? If so, let us know, and tell us how you plan to round up and save!

NOTE: You can donate your change, or just count it up and

mail in a check, or donate via credit card at PayPal  :)

Nor do we know of any other rescues

or shelters that are taking any in
