Mr. Ed

Intake Date: 10.27.13

Appx. DOB: 09.13.12

Weight: 65 lbs

Mr. Ed doesn't understand why he hasn't found his forever home. This is what his friends at Shaw Pit Bull Rescue in Columbus, Mississippi say about him:

Mr. Ed asks everyone he meets, “Won’t you be my family?” But so far, no luck.

Poor Mr. Ed has spent most of his life looking for a family, but nobody has ever called for him. He is estimated to be 5-6 years old, and has been with Shaw Pit Bull Rescue for nearly 5 years. Mr. Ed is a very affectionate boy, and he loves to spend time with people. He especially adores children of all ages, and would make a wonderful family dog! Mr. Ed needs to be an only pet, but his boundless loyalty and love are more than enough to go around!

Mr. Ed has some allergies – we believe the main culprit is the pollen that bombards us year-round in the south. His allergies would probably be less severe if he found a home up north, but now that we have found the right balance of medications, he should be able to live anywhere. He is currently doing well with a maintenance regime of over-the-counter medicine, as long as his time outdoors is limited. He can go outside for walks and playtime, but he cannot be a dog that spends entire days or nights outdoors. Fortunately, he is already house-trained and crate-trained, so he is move-in ready!

Mr. Ed weighs 55 lbs, and he is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Adopters will receive his vet records, a collar and leash, 30 days of pet insurance, and plenty of post-adoption support! We are located in Columbus, MS.
