This questionnaire is not designed to exclude anyone from owning a Shaw PBR dog, but rather to ensure that potential owners have the knowledge and skills necessary to keep a dog responsibly.  Our role as an animal welfare institution is to make sure our dogs are adopted into good homes.

Our goal is to match you with a dog that is compatible with your family and lifestyle.  Choices for a long-term animal companion should not be made based solely on looks.  The temperament and energy level of the dog in question must be taken into consideration.

If you have another animal companion, you must take the extra effort required to match the personality of your resident dog with the personality of the dog you are wishing to adopt.   This compatible match takes time and research – one size does not fit all; dogs have very individual needs and personalities.

We reserve the right to refuse to adopt to anyone at any time

and for any reason!

We do accept Adoption Applications from out of state with a vet reference. We do not use commercial transportation for any of our dogs. Any dog adopted from us by an out of state adopter must be transported by the adopter. Normal adoption and return policies apply.

Misrepresentations on an application will automatically

disqualify you from adoption.
